The cal­ving front of Hayes­breen on the nor­t­hern side of Mohn­buk­ta is fro­zen solid and rather sta­ble and inac­ti­ve in mid April.

In nor­t­hern Storfjord, the migh­ty Negri­b­reen is rea­ching the shore. It has rece­ded con­sider­a­b­ly in recent deca­des, but still has the widest cal­ving front of the main island of Spits­ber­gen.
