Polar bear on Wahl­ber­gøya.

This leg of the jour­ney took off with a day in Murch­ison­fjord and then it was wild­life. Count­less Brünich’s guil­l­emots at Alkef­jel­let and then con­sider­a­b­ly fewer – but by no means less impres­si­ve 😅 – polar bears on Wahl­ber­gøya.

An evening in Wahl­enberg­fjord, Nord­aus­t­land.

The fol­lo­wing two days in Wahl­enberg­fjord were doubt­less among­st the high­lights of this trip, and bey­ond – unfor­gettable! Almost pain­ful­ly beau­tiful. That is per­fect­ly true for both the evening illus­tra­ted abo­ve and the hike on Oxford­hal­vøya the next day.

And then we went all the way up north, to Sjuøya­ne.
