With SV Mean­der to Ny-Åle­sund, 23-26 May 2024

This was some­thing slight­ly unu­su­al. On a rather short noti­ce, a win­dow of oppor­tu­ni­ty had ope­ned up to set up a 3 day trip with Mean­der. We just jum­ped at the oppor­tu­ni­ty and orga­nis­ed a trip to Ny-Åle­sund espe­ci­al­ly for peo­p­le in Lon­gye­ar­by­en. The­re are many who live the­re who usual­ly don’t get around a lot out­side the litt­le vil­la­ge bey­ond the few kilo­me­t­res of road which the­re are. You just don’t easi­ly get to Ny-Åle­sund unless you have a work-rela­ted mis­si­on – or as a tou­rist. Let alo­ne all the­se won­derful places.

The wea­ther made the­se 3 days a kind of a bit more inte­res­ted, but in the end we mana­ged to find a pret­ty good way to mano­eu­vre through it, I would say. So we had a lot of fun for 3 days with some good peo­p­le from Lon­gye­ar­by­en, obvious­ly not “only” visi­ting Ny-Åle­sund but also some other places on the way the­re and back. Good stuff!
