Gallery 5: Wide-open tundra in Sorgfjord

Crossing 80degrees under sail, north pole expeditions and Harbour seals on Danskøya

Some are steaming up mountains for great scenic views, and others are enjoying the coastal scenery, taking mental trips back to the days of the whalers and explorers.

We have crossed 80 degrees before, but now the time of day allows to appreciate this event properly, before we continue along the north coast under sail to the northwest corner, where more than 100 years ago north pole expeditions left their traces. The north pole has been found later, explorers have left. The harbour seals are still there, quite a few of them.
