Time for a good hike across C-Hof­mann-Hal­vø, which was, by the way, named after a heli­c­op­ter tech­ni­ci­an who was kil­led in an acci­dent during an expe­di­ti­on in 1953. I still don’t know what the „C“ is for … (cer­tain­ly not for „Cape“. Most likely, his first name was Chris­ti­an, a com­mon first name in Den­mark). Sad histo­ry, beau­tiful sce­n­ery, with some very ele­gant­ly pla­ced huge erra­tic bould­ers on hills that pro­vi­de gre­at views.

Øfjord is the might­ie­st of tho­se natu­ral chan­nels that sur­round Mil­ne Land, an occa­sio­nal­ly breath­ta­king pas­sa­ge.
