And the latter (continuing from the previous part) was exactly the right thing to do. Initially it was a bit grey also in the north, but there bad weather all over the place, and were just on the edge and not in the middle of it, so that was pretty good. And then, we were obviously at the right time in the right place! The weahter was just fantastic for several days on the north side of Nordaustland, little or no wind, calm seas, good visibility, often even sunny. How often does that happen up here? Stunningly beautiful landscapes, rarely seen by human eyes. You have to know to appreciate that – there is hardly anyone ever coming to many of the places that we have been to. There aren’t too many places like that in the world. And we’ve been there 🙂
