The light may well be what attracts most people who come to Spitsbergen for a trip in september, with weather and an atmosphere somewhere between summer and winter. And we got both, kind of all seasons within 2 weeks, from some (late) summer days to almost full winter, with frost and snow in the air and on the ground. And much more than that, all those beautiful places and landscapes and the amazing wildlife Spitsbergen. Actually, we went all the way around the main island, with the wind and waves on our side (in other words: mostly not existing in our vicinity) and that opened a lot of opportunities. As so often this summer, one might well say that we were in the right place at the right time pretty much every day of this trip.
Altogether, we had an amazing time! It was a fantastic end of a fantastic long arctic summer, as far as I am concerned. So I would like to take the opportunity here to thank everybody who was involved, to make it work so well, so successful, so enjoyable. First of all, I want to thank Captain Serge and his good crew – you are amazing! See you soon in Norway 😊
