Wal­ru­ses on Prins Karls For­land.

The first attempt to make some miles in style – under sail – was not real­ly suc­cessful due to a pro­no­un­ced lack of wind, in con­trast to the fore­cast 🙂 but we got some very inte­res­t­ing and beau­tiful impres­si­ons in Kongsfjord later, with the caves and grot­tos on Blom­strand­hal­vøya and then later in Ny-Åle­sund.

Later, we found some wal­ru­ses in For­lands­und – a spon­ta­neous oppor­tu­ni­ty after a spon­ta­neous request.

Our Spits­ber­gen expe­ri­ence got a wort­hy com­ple­ti­on in Dick­son­fjord, and fri­ends of wind-powered ships final­ly got their money’s worth on the final crossing of Isfjor­den.
